Join us for an After-Party in memory of Todd Barron. Enjoy an unforgettable festive evening with cocktails, dinner, and live music as we announce the creation of Palm Beach Symphony's new Todd Barron Instrument Donation Fund.
Todd Barron impacted the lives of hundreds of underserved children over the past 20 years by working with various arts and community organizations to raise funds to provide musical opportunities for local children and to support music education programs.
Todd has been a longtime supporter and volunteer for Palm Beach Symphony, Palm Beach Opera, the Maltz Jupiter Theatre and the Boys and Girls Club of Wellington. In 2014, he was a founding member and the first president of the executive board of the Young Friends of the Palm Beach Symphony. Todd was instrumental in creating fun and memorable experiences for the Young Friends that drew in members and generated new patrons for the Palm Beach Symphony.
In addition to his efforts to create and grow the Young Friends of the Palm Beach Symphony from 30 members at its inception, to the current membership of almost 100 young friends, Todd also served as the Young Patrons Chairperson for the 2016 Palm Beach Opera Gala. At the same time, he held the position of president of the executive board of the Boys and Girls Club of Wellington, where he worked tirelessly to bring music into the lives of the club members. He raised money to create a choral program for the club members. Todd wanted the children to receive musical training without imposing a financial burden on their families.
Todd volunteered his time and innate skill as an auctioneer to help raise millions of dollars for local charities such as the Maltz Jupiter Theatre, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County and Wellington, Goodwill Industries, the Transplant Foundation, Mike Schmidt’s Winner’s Circle Charities, and the Sarcoma Foundation of America.
Although Todd stepped back from his various roles on boards and committees once he was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma in 2018, he did not stop supporting his favorite organizations and volunteering as auctioneer for charities until just months before his passing.
To honor Todd’s commitment to the arts, and his desire to improve the lives of underserved children through music, Palm Beach Symphony has created the Todd Barron Instrument Donation Fund. Funds raised for this purpose will go directly towards putting musical instruments into the hands of promising young musicians.
